I found the solution.

There is a typo in the default Options:

Options/Nova Links/GLB File Link:
http://208.231.90.235/bhd_2.glb

change this to
http://208.231.90.235/bhd_3.glb

It's not a typo, the pinger was released when the lobby version was 2, now the current lobby is version 3.
And look at the big red flashing text where you DL
the pinger :).

And you need to change all links so that they end on 3.
