I've always been a long term thinker. If I know it's going to save me money over the long haul I spring for it. This has been a good financial decision. I've replaced a few batteries in the last couple of years, but I found it's been pretty cheap (at least compared to what happens to my neighbors) over the nasty monthly bills they get. Had a pretty bad storm here a few months ago also that left them without power for several days. You'd have to destroy 80% of my house before i'd be without power and chances are even with that I could probably dig through the rubble and hook a few things up and still get the frig going. Life is good!
