we get hurricaine type weather in the pac coast area they just do not call it hurricanes . winds in excess of 74 miles a hr with heavy rains and lots of waves equals a hurricaine . Something not unusual to the pac coast . THey just have special names they call it in the east here in the west its just called a storm .
