I know, that if you were a drop of water in a very large ocean
I would find you, even among all the water there
I, with compass and sexton, would set out
And sail every seafaring path, whether storm or fair

I understand, that if you were the wind,
I would breath twice as much
I would open all my windows, never to be closed
And then, not a seal would I touch

I feel, that if you were a broken heart
I would dedicate my life, making you whole
I would tend to every part very carefully
And with remedy, give you my soul

I think that if you were the day
I would go to bed early every night
And rise with the sun just to see you again
And never miss that early light

If you were afraid, I would stand guard and not sleep

And if the ocean dry, or the wind die down,
Or your heart, belong to another should
If the light of your affection not shine for me
Would I love you just as much? I would
