This is the easiest option for all those who want to score political points, but not for those of us who just want to dance. Adam and I are one of the other Cambridge modern couples going to Warwick, and we'd really like to dance in the team match as we will be there anyway for the opens and it isn't much fun just watching from the sidelines. We're not on the main team anyway this year due to work commitments and wanting to start dancing on the open circuit this year, and Warwick would be the only team match we would get to do.

As Cambridge will not be entering a team (those of us going all respect the decision not to), we only want to amalgamate with another team so that we can dance.

It would not be undermining the Cambridge captain's authority, as we've spoken to her about it and she was okay with the idea. I don't see how including as many people as possible who want to dance is against the spirit of the team match. We're not trying to undermine anyone, and we have no political agenda here.

PS. Since everyone else from Cambridge team/committee is saying this, this is an entirely personal view etc. etc. (PaulB, please don't shoot!)
