It's always so close then you pull it away
And anything goes then it goes astray
And what are you left with at the end of the day
It's all love, it's all love, it's all love

She had been a princess when she was five. Raised in a private development in Southern California where the gardeners and the cook thought she was just the cutest thing ever. A smile played on her lips as she looked at her daughter before she looked back at Diallo, her eyes turning understanding at his words. "Believe me, I know how it is." She smirked, shrugging her shoulders. "I never thought I would be living in an apartment with two kids at the age of twenty two, don't get me wrong, like you said, I love my kids and all that but..it's not easy." She shrugged a little, her brow furrowed. She had never gotten the chance to go to college, hell, she had barely finished highschool, she'd done correspondence classes to get her diploma right after she had Kesi when she should have been going to homecoming with the star quarterback. Yeah, life changed quick. "I know it's hard to get through school, Di, but you gotta baby, I am living vicariously through you, you know. The whole college experience and all." She grinned, sheepish.

  • He knew that she understood better than anyone what he was saying, and truthfully she was probably the only one he would ever say it to. Kato had never known any different, and neither had Malika really, but he'd been so sheltered for most of his life - hell, he was probably the only one of the hundreds of kids he had started high school with who had actually graduated. He hadn't grown up with money, but he'd grown up with the idea that it was something he could have one day. "Money's tight though... I just don't know. School's expensive - even with scholarships and the assistance I get and everything, it doesn't cover it all... And it takes up so much time I can't really work more than part-time. I just don't know..." He exhaled a soft sigh and mustered a small smile over at her, coloring on Siah's picture for a little bit - he really didn't like to complain because he had so much to be thankful for in this life... But she understood. (NT) -- Diallo, 09:24:38 12/08/06 Fri
