Subject: Re: Change of style Author: Justin [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 20:56:15 06/25/05 Sat In reply to: Mr X 's message, "Change of style" on 18:14:03 06/25/05 Sat hi mr X or wateva.... we've thought about it...and were starting to slowly consider it. maybe not the punk cattegory...but more popular music in general...it doesnt just mean we should do punk...but were thinking along those lines...more covers i would say...we like our current style of writing...theyre not 8 minute long anthems with complex guitar melodies...but theyre not songs that use 3 or 4 chords and have guitar solos consisting of 5 notes. i guess its hard thinking of a band we are similar to...the ones i can think of are metallica in the load/reload era, there definately is a bit of nirvana in us, id say our songs are as complex as something by the foo fighters. we havent discussed in great detail but we have covered it... bands that i want to cover that we know the crowd can and we can also enjoy are bands such as blink 182, puddle of mudd, system of a down, foo fighters and chili peppers i agree with u partly...but it doesnt just have to be punk, i know its easier with punk...but its not just about whats easy....2 make good music u hafta enjoy what you do... punk isnt the only popular stuff...heavy metal is popular...so is progressive and alternative rock...but we are working at it...people have heard us play metallica etc...they may/may not like it...but anyone who has heard our 3 1st originals will definately agree they are not metallica replicas...once you hear these then i guess u can hear our true style...but keep your responses coming...tell us what you would like us to play aswell...
