Some bastards flooding the forum. Anyways.. most of Red Hot Chili Peppers stuff is quite easy to play.. minus the bass.. but its just the fact that they put two notes together, one after the other, and they just sound bloody good. Plus... you can't go wrong if your lead guitarist looks a bit like Jesus ;)

hey
First of all no disputes about the general music comments. It is true that most punk consists of power chords, i would be a fool to argue against that.

BUT, i think chris has got the whole basis of punk music wrong. Lyrics are a huge factor when it comes to true punk music. TRUE punk music is mostly about relationships no doubt but they dont present it in a way that makes the listener want to kill himself etc etc...thats emo music (a knew trend that all the sheep have followed after going through pop punk). And fans of punk music are not people that want to kill themself, that is once again a group of idiots that we refer to as emo's.

Yeah Rob i do agree with you in that most kids learning the guitar do turn to punk because its easy to play, but then again so is MOST mainstream music, including Nirvana.

So until your next response.
Mr X
