It seems fairly obvious to me that there is almost no=one here (apart from a couple of people) who actually know what punk is.
TRUE punk, as one of you put it, is not about relationships. True punk is rebellious, true punk is music with deliberately offensive lyrics expressing anger and social alienation, lyrics that are aimed at attacking conventional society and popular culture. If you want to listen to "true" punk, listen to The Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Rancid, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Lars Fredrickson and The Bastards etc etc.
I feel sorry for you if you class bands such as Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday as punk.

As far as the 'change of style' thing goes...don't change your music to make yourselves more popular, play/write music that you love to play. If your intentions are to make it big just by playing music that everyone else loves your heart isnt in it. Play the music for yourselves and if people dig it, cool, if not, keep writing.

Well I have no perticular classification... HOw would A person go about trying to be punk, im not tryin to change for anyone but myself, I really wanna be able to express mysefl but i cant and no one understands that...

I am Rebelious and I cant stand the popular
I can stand being like every one else...

Im the only person who cant pick a style...
A person who wants to be classified just so i know...

Any Ideas??
