Fair enough comments.
Personaaly i dont really care what the classifications are anymore. i mean itunes classes 'The Starting Line' as blues. And on yet another personal note im not a big fan of the 60/70's music such as The Ramones and The Kinks and so on and so forth.

You put a good point across in saying that you should play the sort of music. Because i dont know the boys, i dont know what sort of music they listen to or like so i put that idea forward just as a thought.

'...' whoever you are you should post more. Good input.

Here here to "....." Classifying bands all depends who you are and what you want to believe in, as in the true "punk" or modern day "punk". If anything the new stream of punk bands should at least be called something like "punk influenced"
