>Its apparent that there are lots of frustrations with Bronco Basketball. I know it pains me to have our SCU teams play inconsistently over and over again. That can be handed to a number of sources and most importantly, it all comes down to the coaches and players alike.

With that said, know that players dont come to SCU because of high profile coaches(which may never happen here)...alot of talk, but, i dont think any of you pay EXTREME amounts of money to support the program (endowments, thousands in season ticket sales, etc...) that are required to bring in that caliber of coach and that caliber of profile to land big recruits.

Having a big win over a top notch program or having your game on ESPN and showing a wild crowd doesnt necessarily do it for 16 year old kids anymore. We've never been a Final Four quality of team (and hopefully some of you dont think SCU will ever consistently be that way, realistically speaking) We should be a better conference team year in and year out, and we should be a consistent 19-22 win season team.

If you use Gonzaga as your benchmark to where we should be just because they're in the same league, then you are not being realistic. Ive said this before. Put them in the same category as an ACC team or SEC team, where the area, the state and the ENTIRE community back and support them. We are a team that is supported by ALUMNI (THATS IT...) there may have been a section of our victory over UNC on the corner of the Mercury News...

Kudos to SMC for what they've done with their program, but, the consistency factor will be the challenge that they will soon face after losing a stellar group of players and having to return that quality of kids year in and year out, without any major increases financially for their program or their staff. Think Bennett is staying there for 13 years? HA!

Tonights loss to lowly USD was disgusting. Our bball
