Subject: M-N columnist admits cautioned to not write about ....

Bay Area media veterans had warned me not to write much about Stanford because people around here wouldn't read much about Stanford. That's one reason I hadn't written a single column all season about the country's undefeated, No. 1 men's basketball team.
(see: http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/colleges/stanford/8254722.htm

so since Mr. Bayless has decided to not write about Stanford perhaps he can be persuaded to give more column inches to THE BRONCOS ... is it time to start educating a Vanderbuilt grad about SCU ?

Dear Mr. Bayless ....

since Stanford Men's Basketball (S***ford Lady Trees vs. Vandy Sun)have not been clogging up your recycle bin (Stanford men's environment lacks passion of St. Joe's -- SJ-MN Mar 23) what will it take to direct more focus on Bronco Basketball ....

if anybody could benefit BIG TIME from a little more exposure in the local media it would be my Broncos ....

heck ... they should have had 'Nova in Maui, Miss St. and BYU and Gone-Zaga (or was that Oakland Raiders???) at home ... all they needed was ONE MORE basket (or even point) ....

Sure picking on some potentially rich kids worried how they will work into the first 5 minutes of EVERY itroductory conversation for THE REST OF THEIR LIVES that they "Graduated from Stanford you know" is easy ...

why not toss some of the entrepreneurial journalistic "venture capital" where it might have the biggest return ... on the semi-home-town team ???

just think ... a couple of barbed zings here or there ... and Wham ... the Broncos make five more baskets ... actually finish-off an Opponent they have "beaten" ... have a 20+ game winning season ... make the post season ... and give you the chance to CASH in on your "investment" ....
Broncos Go Dancin' ...

believe it or not ... there are a LOT of passionate Bronco Backers out there ... they have figured out that the local media doesn't care

so OKAY Bronco Backers ... how about letting Mr. B know that there are folks in Broncoland that are passionate about Bronco Basketball (and other sports) ....

I urge / taunt / plead??? you to drop him a line

I sent him the above one ...
