Subject: Denison invited to try out for U-21 Team Canada

Sean Denison has been invited to try out for Team Canda's "young men's" b-ball squad, that wiil play in the Tournament of the Americas in August. I suspect he'll make the team since he has been on it previosly. This can only help his progress for next season, (assuming of course the injury bug doesn't bite him). Also of note: his weight listed on the invitee Roster is 245-- which is 10-15 pounds heavier than last season. Hopefully it's solid weight.

and that the experience gets him some good banging and scoring practice ...

I also noticed on the donscentral.com site that Kyle??? is playing in the SF Pro-AM league ...

given the "improved" schedule and the seemingly solid improvement of all (except SMC ???) the league teams the Bronco can use all the edge they can find ...

The 6'9" likely redshirt recruit from American High is also on a roster. Little experience--big upside. Apparently he's also added seven pounds since starting a strengh and conditioning program.

[> [> We'll Need Any Toughening He Gets -- Bronco66, 20:12:32 06/27/04 Sun

as always JCard ... thanks for the update ...

Overhead some Broncos recently talking about Sean and Tristan Parham with the hope the Tristan can be a 'Banger' who can come in and make sure the Ronys of this world don't get all the rebounds ...

It looks like Sean is THE center on the Canadian squad and hopefully will get lots of playing time ... and will be pressed ...

anyone know the competition and what the likely matchups look like ???

SD scored 7 points on 3 for 4 shooting from the floor and retreived 4 rebounds in a one point loss to the USA today. He also blocked one shot. The box score did not show how many minutes he played in a decent, but hardly stellar showing. More updates to follow....
As for Parham, one of the coaches was pretty high on him, despite his pedestrian stats at Coffeyville. He has good size and athleticism, and the hope is he'll contribute next season. The Broncos actually have a decent mix of bulk and athleticism at the 4 spot now. Still need more size in the post, but that will have to be for '05-'06 and a growth spurt by Okey M.
