The last time the Enterprise High School boys basketball team lost at home was two years ago to Pleasant Valley, and senior point guard Brody Angley was just a sophomore.
On Wednesday night the Vikings -- who beat the Hornets earlier this season 61-47 at the Harlan Carter Invitational -- were hoping the past would repeat itself.
But Angley -- who missed the season's first matchup with a pulled hamstring -- scored 16 points and dished out seven assists, and the rest of the Hornets defended their home court, beating the Vikings 54-43 at Manatowa Gymnasium.
"Pleasant Valley is always a good battle," said Angley. "Every time we play them, they always bring their A game. So we have to play hard all 32 minutes."
