ANTI-MASTERS- it’s a trap! *drags soapbox out* Masters is a ridiculous scheme. Once you are in Masters, you can’t get out.
They created masters for champs who don’t want to work hard anymore against 22&overs but still want trophies.
If they want to make it truly competitive for people in all stages of life, they need to stop being afraid of “being like WIDA”, realize that u8’s don’t dance the same as U12’s who don’t dance the same as u21’s, so why is it not okay to expand the age groups and expect that U60 or u45 won’t dance the same as U21 either?
The mental gymnastics to avoid admitting that you’re ageist is astounding.
Get rid of adults. Expand the age categories. Don’t condescend to adults- it’s okay if we work hard and still don’t win against people who danced all their lives. Age has its way of evening the playing field- and we didn’t ruin our knees in dance class as kids. ;)
