Subject: As a Masters Dancer from this weekend

I would love to have added categories. I was competing in &overs 2015-2017 when we saw the surge of competitors numbers in the Senior Ladies. IT TOOK A LOT to get the Over 20 category to get split into U22 and O22. It takes a lot of time for things to happen because the organization has to take a vote.
90% of the ladies who competed in masters were over the age of 30 and several had families of their own. And all of these ladies work extremely hard. They can handle the competitive pressure. They definitely did not take it easy. I know for me I switched categories because dance isn't always my top priority. And I wanted to dance against ladies who are my peers in not just dance, but in life. Because being an ADULT is messy. It's so different from the teens.
TONS of sports offers masters categories. I love that there is an effort to keep adult dancers going.
