Subject: There is a difference between judgment and discernment
In reply to: So sad 's message, ""Do not judge, or you too will be judged." on 13:38:11 12/18/23 Mon

People misinterpret what judgment means. We cannot judge anyone as we don’t have right. That’s up to God. What we DO have is the authority to say what is right and wrong and what is helpful and harmful. We can show unrestrained love and compassion and acceptance to people while not loving or accepting their life choices. And we don’t dislike their choices because we want them to suffer but because we know they will suffer if they continue living those life choices.

The biggest lie going around now is that people are harmed when they don’t “live their authentic selves.” The truth is that what you feel in your heart is often the path to painful things. I feel a lot of things that I deny myself of because I know they don’t lead to true joy. If we give in to every yearning or desire we’d be dead within a year. Calling out what we see as wrong is not judgment when done from a place of mercy and grace. I have seen harsh and hateful comments on here which hurts my heart. But we CAN call out right from wrong while still being loving.
