50 dancers spread across dozens of levels and ages means there will be barely any dancers in any competition unless you combine multiple age groups. We are tired of comps where 12 year olds are going against adults in their prelim or 6 year olds dancing against teenagers in their grades. it’s not fair on any of the dancers or the judges.

It’s just so sad that the culture and attitude around feising has eroded so much. I know the cost of feising has exploded. With every feis being a double feis now (along with separate registration and Feisworx fees) you’re now spending nearly $100 per child per day of dancing. Add an extra hotel night and meals, and you can be at nearly $1,000 for a weekend.
