It is like you are trying to justify your involvement and its existence . "Well its a sport"
It is dance. Dance is an athletic art form. It doesn't have to be a sport. It is better than that. Let it be more than just "a sport."
We want to call it a sport because society view dance as feminine and weak and soft and sports are manly and athletic and strong. But that is just stereotyping and it is time to do better.
Dance is more than a sport, so let it be dance.
