Academic decathlon, theater has team competitions. Why can't it be competitive dance. Does that make it any less valid? Why is it so important to label it a sport? I think it is more than a sport. Most sports players don't have to care about presentation. They don't have to care if they look out of breath. Keep their hair and clothes perfectly in place. They don't have to worry about rhythm with a live musician. In most sport most players specialize in specific aspects, they don't have to be a whole package. Don't belittle dance by calling it a sport.
