The teacher can decide to send you BUT they should follow the rules and put you in the correct competition. To the me if you’ve been top 3 in prelim or in Open at any age you are advanced adult. That is how I read the syllabus. It could be that there were many dancers in the wrong category… maybe they didn’t want to do a modern set? Wasn’t Southern region first to have the Masters/advanced adult category? You’d think the adults from that region would understand. Maybe I am wrong in my interpretation.
