I was one of those initially tricked by her fake ignorance of the rules at a feis a couple months before Nationals. She put on a good show acting all nervous and ignorant about the rules. After wiping the floor with the competition, I looked her up and saw she was an active professional ballerina and former championship Irish dancer who nearly qualified for worlds. I was absolutely shocked to see her in the lower adult category at nationals and was one of those who blew the whistle on her former placements in grade-level championships and got her disqualified.

It is disheartening to see her total lack of remorse for tainting the competition at Nationals and ruining a deserving dancer’s place in the spotlight. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to Karl Drake and his school. You have to expect underhanded behavior from them. But this dancer is continuing on like nothing happened. She’s an embarrassment to herself, her region, and adult Irish dancing as a whole.
