My daughter won several prelim competitions in the year she qualified for that level. It was the teacher's choice for her to compete in prelims for the entire year. The dancers and (especially parents) were very rude to us - I was shocked at the nasty comments we received. My feeling was that if your daughter can't beat my daughter, maybe your daughter needs more practice.
