The McTeggart New Year’s feis would literally be the first weekend of the new year and would still get 300+ dancers so can’t blame dreadful attendance on the date. Can’t we just admit Irish dance is on the decline? It’s not dead but people have been priced out and cheated out and have lost interest. Many other sports and hobby clubs have better organization and FAR lower costs. This is what happens when greed takes over - you push everyone but the richest and most dedicated out.
