(OOC: Yeah, Tristan did--but no one else was available at the time to deal with those charging soldiers. Though I suppose he could probably afford to disengage now that Rico and Guile are back in the fray. 'Course....that may create other problems...=D)

"Big words from a small....whatever the hell you are," the goddess sneered down at Frieza--until she noticed the large gash in her transparent form and realized what was intended...Desperately, she tried to throw up a defensive shiled until she could shift back into a smaller form and regenerate. Too late.

And when the dust cleared THIS time...The huge dragon form stood there, sans left arm and half of her right wing--and with a huge hole in her chest where the asson once resided. The little, skill-headed ivory rattle was in free-fall, unlight reflecting off it's gold and silver accents as it tumbled downward. With her last remaining arm Lyunea reached for it--and it vanished, reappearing in Heather's hands.

She bellowed in rage--without that artifact as a anchor to this world, she had less than a minute before her own energies would drag her back to her own dimension...

Despite the fact that she was now bleeding in more places than she cold count, she smiled. Whatever else happened now--they'd won. They just had to keep the thing out of her hands for a few.

"Who's up for a little game of "Keep Away'?"

With the massive energy blast and the apearene of reinforcements, it appeared that the ground batle was onve again under control. Turning back to the wounded, Tristan noticed a woman screaming. He started towards them...then relized the wounded man she was clutching was the vampire. The very same one Tristan'd been planning to slay, ever since he'd killed that innocent woman back in France.

One stroke ends it right here...hell, all I need to do is walk away and let nature take it's course...

Still...he couldn't. His vows wouldn't allow him to slay a man in such a state--and his conscience wouldn't let him turn his back. Of course, after this battle, once the vampir was hale and hearty once more, he'd be fair game again. He just hoped Mardrave didn't kill again in the meantime.

He shot towards Sophia and Mardrave, rather brqusely. "Pardon me, milady," he said, hoping she'd mistake his disgust for mere distraction. They didn't need another battle right now. Placing one hand on Mardrave's chest, he traced a pair of runes in midair with the other.

"Mani!!"

The runes appeared in the air briefly, glowing with a white light, which then flowed into Mardrave, saling his many wounds and reducing his pain somewhat. It wasn't a complete healing, but it was enough to get Mardrave out of the critical zone. Then, withoug a word, he charged back into the battle, helping to mop up the remaining soldiers.

This is kinda embarassing, Lucca thought, as she was carried under Michelle's arm through the mass of firing troops (which nationality, she couldn't tell. This wasn't her world after all). Still, as they leapt through the largest mass of troops, she mnaged to cover their retreat with massive Fire spell, setting the forest ablaze and creating a smoke screen.

"Right here!!" she yelled, falling from Michelle's arms as she fumbled for the Gate Key. Seconds later, they rematerialized--back at HQ.
