It seems that Link is the anti-Marth, with all those projectiles. Usually I delfect them with Marth's counter, although I realize this doesn't always work. It tooks a lot of training, but I am fairly good at deflecting things with down+b like Link's without getting hurt by it. It's all about doing it at EXACTLY the right time; timing. Until you've mastered that, and you've probably been trying, shielding, jumping, rolling, and that dodgy move I forget the name of were the things I did to avoid projectiles.
I also have some weaknesses...
I'm bad at deflecting things using the shield. For one, I don't know how, and everything I try hasn't worked. Phooey.
A major weakness of mine is that when I am near the edges, I do an attack in the air, and then I usually fall off the edge while doing my attack, and can't get back on. So far, only disciplining myself prevents me from doing this, but I still make this mistake a lot. Any tips?
Another weakness is this: When I am way up in the air and descending down on my opponent, I try to down+a him, but he gets me with a up+a. Same for the opposite; When the enemy is in the air, and I'm on the ground, he gets me with a down+a while I'm trying to get up with a up+a! Dang! In fact, double dang! Any tips? Timing perhaps?
I have another question but it's a completely different topic...so I'll make one. ;)
