cuz there are certainly people out there who can give better answers than i can. i'll tell you what i know, but just remember i don't have all the answers.

i think link has the toughest projectiles for marth to stop. if anything is going to stop them it's going to be his forward-air, so see how that works against link's stuff, and just try to jump/roll/dodge around anything that you can't stop.

if your opponent is beating you when you try to clash attacks like that, either his timing is better or he's using a character who has higher-priority moves. if you can't get the timing down, try attacking him from the side after he uses a move.

if you're falling off the edge a lot... well, stay away from the edge. grid used to suicide a lot, it just takes practice.
