Time to start pulling your garb from its giant Tupperware containers, folks, because rehearsals for the 2003 King Arthur Festival begin tomorrow!

This year's plot is the quest for the Holy Grail (I know you're all getting ready to make Monty Python cracks right now. Don't. I expect more originality out of you people). Several new characters will be introduced this year in support of the story, including the Fisher King and Sir Galahad (which means Rob aka Launcelot is going to have to age about 18 years from the 02 show).

A lot of last year's cast members will be returning, and we've got a whole bunch of new folks joining the insanity. As always, Dave is scripting and directing the show, with Ryann producing and wrangling vendors and taking care of the business stuff that confuses Dave because of all the numbers involved. Cliff and Rob are choreographing the fights again, George and Matt are handling most of the tech work, Robin is stage-directing, I'm doing that PR thang as always, and Michelle Meyer (Scarlett Will of MERF) is handling improv and ensemble building. And John MacLeod has recovered from being assaulted by an icy cement porch and will be handling photography and web work.

KAF is again at Hammond Castle in Gloucester and will run from 10 AM to 5 PM Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27 rain or shine.

Further info will be posted as it becomes available. Check out the Hammond Castle web site (www.hammondcastle.org) or the Pastimes site (www.pastimes1.com) for more information. And remember: the next quarterly newsletter, slated for release within the next two weeks, will feature lots of KAF-related tidbits, so sign up for that by e-mailing me.

Mike
