Dear Tom:

Is it really all that important that the Board be able to store a lot of messages? It seems to me that if the Members feel a particular message is really important and needs to be available to Newbies, then it should be copied, edited, and placed under an appropriate category on Starling Talk's Home Page where it will be permanently available in the future to all who need it.

The Board itself should be designed for maximum ease of use and quick responses ---not necessarily for permanent storage. If there are particular posts that Members want to keep, they can always copy them to their own harddrives if they feel they are really worth saving.

With these thoughts in mind, I would vote for the current "Boards2Go" board, since (other than the limitation of the number of messages) I have not heard that it has any real drawbacks. Am I missing something?

Speaking of missing something, I should report that my only problem in posting to this Board is that that pesky Jay Leno keeps stealing the rubber "eraser head" pointer from the keyboard of TFLG's laptop computer, and it makes it awfully hard for me to use the mouse to point to messages I want to open. Fortunately, TFLG went out a bought an extra supply of replacement rubber eraser head pointers just in case he can't find where Leno is stashing the ones that he keeps stealing whenever the keyboard is momentarily unattended.

In fact, it has gotten so bad that TFLG has to place a heavy book on top of the keyboard whenever he's away from the computer and Jay is within striking distance. Otherwise, when he returns he'll find that not only is the mouse pointer missing, but Jay Leno has walked around on the keys and typed a lot of gibberish onto the screen ---and for some reason, most of it is usually in italics! It seems that although Jay Leno may not have anything intelligent to say, he at least says it with EMPHASIS!

'Til next time,

YY

Metro
