Not quite sure if they are just a spinner away but it is certainly the area where there is the biggest dearth in class. As Jaf already knows I'd drop Giles, unless the wicket looked like it would turn square, and I'd pick Collingwood to bat at six with Flintoff and Jones dropping down one place each. The Aussie batsmen seem to have few problems with Gilo and the four England seamers offer such good alternatives to one another in pace, swing, bounce and length that the variation provided by a spinner is less relevant. I'd play Collingwood as 1)he has had a decent summer against the Aussie's already, 2) his ability to find gaps and nudge the ball about was badly missing in Englands 2 Lords innings and 3) he is the best like for like replacement the now retired Thorpe. Joyce has no experience at this level and it ain't really the time to start tossing such players into the fray unless the make an outstanding case, and Key is to fat and just another opening bat converted into a makeshift middle order player. The four seamers are capable of bowling the Aussies out for decent totals and with sensible field placings Bell, Collingwood and particularly Vaughan could be effective in short bursts. Dropping Vaughan would be idiotic to say the very least.
