We in Greenup County had some good and bad luck as far as the storm. Those in the South Shore area were hard hit by the icy rain and many trees were down along with the power lines and transformers. Many trees had blocked off the roads to where EMS and police and fire fighters were unable to gain access to those in need. Thanks needs to go out to those with chain saws that helped clear the roads to make easier passageway for the power crews to get in and start repairs. The part of the county we live in is putting up with some flooding. Our front yard along with our neighbors resembles Greenbo Lake.
For those spared by the wrath of the storm,....count your blessings,....next time it could be you.
