Ah,can not forget the Stadium Drive Inn on S.29th,also Unity Baptist in back of Ashland station on 29th.I also remember an old building between Fire Station and stallard's,but was later torn down. I remember buying penny candy at Whitt's to nibble on at school( Oakview).The raised sidewalk at the Ashland Station catching rides to AHS. As You said"The innocent Years"!! I lived on Blackburn across from Putnam,(Kansas Street),Aylor's were on the east and Whitt's on the west side of us.
