Brute scanned the terra dropping away below him once more for Pirate's Treasure. His flaming occules swept over the landforms easily, soaking in all the sights, the memory fresh in his mind once more as he ceased the rare flapping of his owl-like wings completely, allowing himself to drift to the earth slowly. He looked around, seeing the Thicket, gave a snort of disgust for his still lingering thoughts about his last mate,Akita. She was forever banned from his Cliffs. If she ever dared to make an entrance in his terra,he would fight with her to her death.Tossing his giant ebony dial, locks flying in all directions, bouncing off of his deadly raven dagger.Rearing to full height and pawing the air menacingly around him,he let out a heart-piercing whistle and spoke.Pirate's Treasure! You have called me here for the war that is growing at the very moment. What is the current status, and where,if not this very hollow, are the army meeting? He landed suddenly with a loud thump on the earth, waiting for his answer. He spotted Lunar Eclipse and neighed to her,a mare from his herd.

Hearing the call of her leader, she leaped from her perch and flew towards him. Wings of an osprey hold true as she glides down to him. Lowering her crania slightly in respect, she spoke. ^M'Lord, I am here as you bid me.^ Her voice was detached, sort of frozen.

[> x. An answer? .x -- Exist, 09:12:40 07/08/03 Tue

x. She was not in the mood to converse with ruffians. Rather her azure eyes burned with rage. She had felt as though part of her died and why? She did not know, maybe that was what inflamed her senses or maybe she just didn't like all these "hardened" warriors coming in and trying to push her around. They knew jack, they knew so little that they didn't even know they were dumb. Ha. I'll give you a log of one of Exist's many REAL battles. Possibly the one against Shaan. There are places that the real horses roam, infamous characters that fight to live. Where loyalties run thicker than blood, where the green fields are bloodwashed and the noise of cracking bone echoes deafeningly. That was where she had come from. Now this place paled a sickening absence hued in comparasion. She would teach them to fight, slowly but surely. It would start soon, she knew. Exist merely turned her curvature so that her azure orbs were facing this outsider .x

The army will be meeting at Hopeless Terrains. I believe that is common knowledge sir and I do not know why you ask such a question. The war will start soon, the status is that we are not ready yet. You and these sorry "warriors" are a discrace to the fighting rituals. But when I am finished you all will be ready."

x. She turned away, not really wanting a reply. Her words hung in the air with venom and drip away on the lethargic zephyr .x

[> [> §A Fire Within§ †Flames in the Heart† -- §Flames§ †Fire†, 11:30:06 07/08/03 Tue

Knight's boa carried his dial around to look towards the vix.His own flaming orbs burned a little brighter at the thought of the upcoming war.Nares flared to draw in the other's scent slowly, memorizing and storing it away in his senses. It was true,he did know little about other lands than the one that he was born into and the one he came to live in,Cascade Mountains. He was a rebel from his disastrous birth and would remain until his death day.Wanting always to get better at this sacred art of war and battles,he often had no one to practice with, leaving him only thirsting for more, and nothing to quench it with.Soaking in her words through pointed auds,he dwelled on that thought and sighed, voice now dripping with ice.The thought having orders forced on him like some lowly servant made him almost livid. He had a gut feeling if he lost his unpredictable temper with this one there would be hell to pay,but for now he threw caution to the wind. And how,do you suppose, that I gain entrance to this Terrain? It requires a secret word or command, one that I know not.Unless you can inform me of a way to get around this,I still have no way of meeting with them.He snorted a while after his bit had floated on the air, left to drift away in the north wind.

(By the way,the first move with Shaan was very good.Would you consider teaching a "ruffian" your ways?)

(Thanks. Sure I'll help you as much as I can. I'll tell you a secret -whispers- compared to Jessers, Chelsey, Latene and Quin I'm not good at all... :) )

x. I laugh. Exist's chortle rung throughout the Hollow. Men, she could see right now, at this very moment, that he had almost no skill. Exist had learned the hard way facing a to-be Gold (The highest position at the renouned The Fifth Element) and loosing terribly. Where had she come from when she went to 5e and was disgraced? That's right, here, Cascade. Deep down in her heart she did not want these equines to go through what she had. Fighting Dehryah, Lirael, Backdraft, Phyr and Nostalgia was tough. She only completed three battles and she lost all of them. Exist thought back to her attacks and defenses. They were absolutely pitiful. She did not like to remember those times. After that she was determined to learn. She traveled to Paranoia, fighting with six horses and winning every round. I think it was Moira, Mystic Lyric, Demise, Sigh, Aerial and who knows the others. One Paranoia had closed it's door like the fifth's she had traveled to the lands of the Ecylpse and left them shortly after. She had that only one skirmish with Shaan in that short time that she stayed with her old friends. So was she experienced? You could call her that, she was addicted to the dance of battle now, that rush of adrenaline that would only be accompanied by the crash of bone. Yes ah the sweet melody of pugnaciousness. It was her calling .x

"I am not going to give you this ticket. Rather I do not trust you and I do not approve of your battling methods already. You may have a high position somewhere else but you have not even been accepted in my mind. Once you reach my rank of Paladin I will give you the password, and I will request that Treasure and Demon Cry do the same until I am ready. The training will begin as soon as I have your consent."

(Thanks for agreeing to help me!I know I'm not good, but I just started about 3 months ago, that was the first time I ever even heard of these RPG's.Even for three short months I'm not very good-.-I'm working on my own rpg,so I really need this knowledge.I've already been studying a labeled anatomy of the horse with organs, bones and muscles.BTW,I'm Megan. Not the one co-owning CM of course^.-)
Flaming orbs were held fast to the raven femme. Not giving a hint as to which way he was feeling at the moment through the multicolored fire,he blinked once or twice.Already he knew this mare was very good at the art of war.But as good as her?He didn't know if this was possible in the short ammount of time left before the war.He knew it must go on,with or without him.Taking a deep, steady breath and wondering what kinds of things she had to be dragged through to be this well off.Making a quick decision and speaking a few short moments after the mare, not on good enough terms to call by her name yet, finished her lot.Trust? If anyone is wise really they only keep a close circle of trustees.Of course you do not trust me yet.As for my methods of battle,I'd say they aren't the best, but they will get the job done. How do you know of my balling methods anyway?I have never conducted a fight in front of one such as yourself.Since I wish to help in this war,I will undergo the rigors of training.Shall you begin here,or are we going to go somewhere else?Mind buzzed with thoughts as he kept his unbreaking gaze at the mare.

( -blinks and doesn't have the heart to tell her she has no idea who owns cm.- You're welcome. You're good for three months. I've played for like two, three years. Battling I started in April. I have a long way to go.)

She smiled lightly at the gaze of the brute and almost laughed when he asked her how she knew of his battling. Why it was right in front of you! Surely you do not only know that Exist is good because of her words? Surely you do not believe only this letters and sounds that form language? Rather it is in the body movements. She can see your slow reaction, lack of stealth. Exist could have heard you coming LONG before you reached her eye line. Exist - on the other hand - knew that you could never be too careful. She was lithe with her cadence - her titaniums barely grazed the virdescent ground. Her hulking form could be hidden expertly in the shadows, her hoofsteps could be the most reasonable explanations, her attacks were fast and deadly. She was a marked warrior now, a screaming fiend with paint smeared across her cheeks - living only for the taste of blood and victory. Yes it was her oath, her one love, her life.

"Yes it is wise. You may begin here. Show me one attack and I will point out what is wrong with it, give you tips and counter the attack and then attack you. You will then counter my attack and return with another of your attacks. Do you follow?"

(If you have a long way to go,I have a mountain to scale with no safety ropes. That'd be scary actually.....)

There was only one thing wrong with this plan of teching. He didn't know any counter attacks. He had never had to use them, instead relying on his force in battle. He usually delivered one heavy attack to a vital area, and his opponents would fade away like the setting sun on a beach. His bodice was very big,and he was the tallest of any animal he knew for miles around.Being 22hh and of a very formidable weight,he had used these to defeat his challengers. He knew his teachers strength and she was more experienced than him.He gave her another quick glance, summing up her position and size. When he wanted, the burning fire on his side could disappear, and his flameing occules reduced merely to glowing embers.A bit of concentration and this was done with ease, leaving him the darkest shadowy ebony.Taking shallow breaths for a moment,he semingly melted into the surrounding blackness.Being absolutely still for a moment,he tooka few deep breaths, filling his lungs then letting it free again without a sound uttered.Preperation done now,he picked up his great hooves.Picking them up and setting them down with barely a sound, tucking in his wings as close to his body as possible,he moved forward.Moving in a quick trot,he did almost a quarter of a circle around the mare before turining to look at her left shoulder.A little behind her shoulder he made his mental target. Now in a ground devouring lope,he made for his target silently.

Rearing to a high height but quickly as so not to be caught in that position, his mark wasn't far below. His intention was to come crashing down on around halfway down the line of thoractic vertebrae. These were the primary vertebrae for the spine. His right hoof was held lower that the left, expecting to go in first, followed by the left, which would land on the joining between the first thoractic vertebrea and the last few true ribs, smashing both as it went through. If this attack went as planned without any flaw, the thoractic vertebrea would be demolished, along with a great rip in a few muscles, first the lumbodorsal fascia, followed shortly thereafter by the trapezius, then with the left, the obl. abdominus ext.If the hoooves penetrated deep enough to break the whole bones, there was a posibility of the diaphragm, liver, posterior vena cava, thoractic aorta,and/or the left bronchus being ruptured or injured. All of the above would leave the adverasry in much pain and immobilize her temporarily or permanently. This was,or course,if the attack went perfectly as planned, which it was almost certian not to.

If the mare chose to move forward in the short time she had,one hoof would land on the lumbar vertebrae, and the other on either the sacrum, tuber coaxe,or the tuber sacrale. There are some muscles to go through obviously, though not near as many as the before mentioned. His hooves would definetly shred the fine fibers of the lumbodorsal fascia, and possibly rip through a bit of the biceps femoris. And,of course, there were some minor organs to worry about, though nothing as major. The cervix, ureter, and left ovary were all in danger. If he suceeded in puncturing the ovary,it would make sucessful breeding much harder, therfore almost erasing the posibility of little Exists running rampant. That was just another possibility in this attack.

If Exist chose to move backwards, the right hoof would almost definetly demolish a great number of true and false ribs. The left would land atop the shoulder bone itself. The trapezius, triceps brachii, and latissimus dorsi were all in trouble. The organs were of the most signifigance this time probably. The liver, posterior vena cava, left coronary artery, pulmonary artery, and the heart were in sufficent danger of being pierced by shattering bone,or crushed by a cave in of the sides without the supporting ribs. But there were still more ways she could choose.

If she chose to sidestep away from him,a very risky move anyway, with the posibility she might fall in the manuvering, and seeing she had to be very fast because he was coming, ready or not. Both of the massive hooves would be enroute directly to her ribcage, with the certainty of crushing them all from a more outside angle, causing them to collapse inwardly, shards flying into all the organs remotely near there, and remaining lodged in muscles, ripping and tearing at them even further. The left ventral colon, spleen, small intestine, large intestine, diaphragm, liver, posterior vena cava, thoractic aorta, left coronary artery, left bronchus, pulmonary artery, and again the heart would be naming a few.

If she tried to sidestep into him,he would land atop is mark, making for almost the same effects as if he had made a perfect hit.She didn't have enough time to step into him and try to kock him over, that would also take alot of strength to knock over or unbalance a fullly grown shire stallion.

If she tried to turn her hindquarters towards him,he would land at an angle, breaking a numerous ammount of her hind bones, and an essential one for holding the legs up.He would also tear a muscle of great importance if she valued rearing, bucking,or simply moving her hindquarters at all.If she tried truning her forequarters towards him,his hooves would still cause all the initial damage, undoubtedly missing the heart, possibly shattering the sternum, scapula, humerus,or shoulder joint. All of these would make moving her front quarters quite impossible, and causing unimaginable pain to her when she did.

Alright,I think that's all for now, what do you think for my first real battle post?

This is your post back with stuff you should learn:

There was only one thing wrong with this plan of teching. He didn't know any counter attacks. He had never had to use them, instead relying on his force in battle. He usually delivered one heavy attack to a vital area, and his opponents would fade away like the setting sun on a beach. [ NEVER show your weaknesses. This means that your adversary will know you possess no cunning.]His bodice was very big,and he was the tallest of any animal he knew for miles around. Being 22hh and of a very formidable weight,he had used these to defeat his challengers. [Good. Intimidation is key. ]He knew his teachers strength and she was more experienced than him.He gave her another quick glance, summing up her position and size. [Bad bad bad. Don’t let me know you aren’t experienced! If you doubt yourself I’ve already won half the battle. ]When he wanted, the burning fire on his side could disappear, and his flameing occules reduced merely to glowing embers.A bit of concentration and this was done with ease, leaving him the darkest shadowy ebony. Taking shallow breaths for a moment,he semingly melted into the surrounding blackness.Being absolutely still for a moment,he tooka few deep breaths, filling his lungs then letting it free again without a sound uttered. [ I’ll adress this part in my counter post.]Preperation done now,he picked up his great hooves. Picking them up and setting them down with barely a sound, tucking in his wings as close to his body as possible,he moved forward.Moving in a quick trot,he did almost a quarter of a circle around the mare before turining to look at her left shoulder.[ I’ll talk about this too.]A little behind her shoulder he made his mental target. Now in a ground devouring lope,he made for his target silently.

Rearing to a high height but quickly as so not to be caught in that position, his mark wasn't far below. His intention was to come crashing down on around halfway down the line of thoractic vertebrae. [ Don’t use medical terms too much. It doesn’t flow right.]These were the primary vertebrae for the spine. [ Good, you explained the position of the bones.]His right hoof was held lower that the left, expecting to go in first, followed by the left, which would land on the joining between the first thoractic vertebrea and the last few true ribs, smashing both as it went through. This was,or course,if the attack went perfectly as planned, which it was almost certian not to.[ This is a very awkard attack. From your writing it sounds like you are coming over her head and not on her side. If you are coming over her side then explain that more.]

[ Good way to explain it. Don’t take it so VERY in depth. The reader will get bored. I would have taken out the last sentence. It doesn’t flow.]

[ It probably wouldn’t pierce the heart. Almost nothing can.]But there were still more ways she could choose.[ Again this last sentence is weird.]

If she chose to sidestep away from him,a very risky move anyway, [ GOOD! that makes me think not to do it. Nice wording.]with the posibility she might fall in the manuvering, and seeing she had to be very fast because he was coming, ready or not. Both of the massive hooves would be enroute directly to her ribcage, with the certainty of crushing them all from a more outside angle, causing them to collapse inwardly, shards flying into all the organs remotely near there, and remaining lodged in muscles, ripping and tearing at them even further.[ Even better.]The left ventral colon, spleen, small intestine, large intestine, diaphragm, liver, posterior vena cava, thoractic aorta, left coronary artery, left bronchus, pulmonary artery, and again the heart would be naming a few.[ Most of the time I would leave out organs. They aren’t usually affected.]

If she tried to sidestep into him,he would land atop is mark, making for almost the same effects as if he had made a perfect hit.She didn't have enough time to step into him and try to kock him over, that would also take alot of strength to knock over or unbalance a fullly grown shire stallion. [ Since you seem to be attacking from the front she could actually very well move into you and with a well placed kick, knock you over. But there are better ways of getting out of this one.]

If she tried to turn her hindquarters towards him,he would land at an angle, breaking a numerous ammount of her hind bones, and an essential one for holding the legs up.[Good description. Remember intimdation is key. ]He would also tear a muscle of great importance if she valued rearing, bucking,or simply moving her hindquarters at all.If she tried truning her forequarters towards him,his hooves would still cause all the initial damage, undoubtedly missing the heart, possibly shattering the sternum, scapula, humerus,or shoulder joint. [ The sternum is very hard to shatter. Again, I would stay away from that area.]All of these would make moving her front quarters quite impossible, and causing unimaginable pain to her when she did.

(Btw,I am now playing in Eclypse.I'm at Syric Hollow.Name's Moonshadow on there.I read thw whole fight between Exist and Shaan. It was very good,I learned alot.Too bad Shaan forfeited. It would have been a really good one.)

Basically the same except improvised....

He gave her another quick glance, summing up her position and size. When he wanted, the burning fire on his side could disappear, and his flameing occules reduced merely to glowing embers.A bit of concentration and this was done with ease, leaving him the darkest shadowy ebony.Taking shallow breaths for a moment,he semingly melted into the surrounding blackness.Being absolutely still for a moment,he tooka few deep breaths, filling his lungs then letting it free again without a sound uttered.Preperation done now,he picked up his great hooves.Picking them up and setting them down with barely a sound, tucking in his wings as close to his body as possible,he moved forward. He had been facing her,now he was moved to where they were side aligned by side, with distance between them of course, turning now to see her shoulder.A little behind her shoulder he made his mental target.

If this attack went as planned without any flaw, the thoractic vertebrea would be demolished, along with a great rip in a few muscles, first the lumbodorsal fascia, followed shortly thereafter by the trapezius, then with the left, the obl. abdominus ext. These muscles aide or hold up and together the ribs. All of the above would leave the adverasry in much pain and immobilize her temporarily or permanently. This was,or course,if the attack went perfectly as planned, which it was almost certian not too.

If she chose to sidestep away from him,a very risky move anyway, with the posibility she might fall in the manuvering, and seeing she had to be very fast because he was coming, ready or not. Both of the massive hooves would be enroute directly to her ribcage, with the certainty of crushing them all from a more outside angle, causing them to collapse inwardly, shards flying into some of the organs remotely near there, and remaining lodged in muscles, ripping and tearing at them even further.

If she tried to sidestep into him,he would land atop is mark, making for almost the same effects as if he had made a perfect hit.She didn't have enough time to step into him and try to kock him over, that would also take alot of strength to knock over or unbalance a fullly grown shire stallion, especially from the angle that he was coming from.

If she tried to turn her hindquarters towards him,he would land at an angle, breaking a numerous ammount of her hind bones, and an essential one for holding the legs up.He would also tear a muscle of great importance if she valued rearing, bucking,or simply moving her hindquarters at all.If she tried truning her forequarters towards him,his hooves would still cause all the initial damage, possibly shattering the scapula, humerus,or shoulder joint. All of these would make moving her front quarters quite impossible, and causing unimaginable pain to her when she did.

Well, made some changes where you made comments.Didn't have time to re-write a new post,so I hope this is good enough.

Right after I posted that,I checked Eclypse again and it was updated.I felt stupid.Lol.But anyway, you said you would counter my attack then I was supposed to counter yours. Are you still going to do that ornot,or are you in the process?Just curious...
