Subject: Mariner 40 needs new owner ASAP

We are the owners of Grace (Hull #7 1966 mariner 40) and Due to the economy We need to Send her to a good home. She has been at anchor off catalina island and can't stay there any more. We were planning on hauling her out and fully restoring her but I lost all my commissions after mid summer and am broke. She has a leak that the bilge pump can handle with out a problem but I can't afford the trips to the island to change the battery anymore. She is a custom design for the Perkins 4-236 engine. Her engine is out for painting right now. She can be sailed or towed. Here is a link to out blog that tells about all the work we put into her:
http://goingafloat.blogspot.com/
We bought her to live on and it is heart breaking to think of loosing her but even worse to have her go down from such a minor problem.
If anyone wants to take her on and restore her We can give her to them. She has all kinds of gear (2 all chain rodes,20kg bruce, large CQR, hard tender etc.)
I live in the LA area and have the pick slip with me. The engine is in my parents drive way but I need to sell it for the $5000 I paid (to get a small trailer to live in)

Please don't let her go to the bottom.

Let me know if you have any questions.
-Ben

The first person that said they would take her hasn't been taking care of her and won't return calls so after a call from the harbor department she is still available. I'd really hate to see her go down, she is a one of a kind mariner that was built for the perkins 4.236 engine with a slightly different floor plan.
She is FREE but needs to be taken and title transfered in the next several days.
