Don't use the old frames at all, less work to build and varnish. I would sugest one pair tinted and one pair clear.Tinted for privacy but for light and if you would install a depthmeter/fishfinder, gps/chartploter on the bulkhead at the companionway, in a rainy day or cold you would want to be able to read it even when washboard are placed in.
