It feels very tight. Hopefully I can loosen it with something like PB blaster. Possibly heating it up to break it loose?

Good news! I use lock tight on the nut so that it does not come loose. I used it sparingly and kept it away from the keyway. The nut kept loosening while underway, so the lock tight now prevents that from happening.
