Subject: 31 Mariner REMEDY Nearing Completion - Questions on Mast
In reply to: Hal 's message, "31 Mariner Genoa Sheet Blocks" on - Sunday - 02/19/23 - 7:18pm

Restoration of REMEDY is nearing completion.

Will replace all standing & running rigging in the spring, new Furlex 204S, eventually new sails. Toward that end wrapping up some loose ends. This boat is fitted with bronze headsail tracks 1 x 3/16 and I have 6 bronze cars but no headsail blocks. So, the question is where to find car/block combination to fit the track or blocks with springs to attach to the cars. Would 9/16 be considered to big for jib sheets?

The Main Mast was replaced with mast from an Ericson 34' which most likely is a MetalMast, now 35' from deck to masthead, weighs 140 lbs. It would be interesting to know what other aluminum mast options used typically weigh and their ISP dimension, deck to masthead. And, the weight of the original wood mast?

Latest photos can be seen here and can quickly scroll through the thumbnails and then click on any of interest.
