Subject: Image/Photo Posting....Thanks "Pete"

Pete searched around a bit and found that you can "post" images on your posts w/in this forum. Here's what you need to do:

- goto http://www.imageshack.us
- upload a file
- select resize image -- 320x240 (for websites and email) -- this is so that the download times don't get rediculus when reading posts.
- click "host it"
- wait a second for the photo to get uploaded
- select the text w/in the "thumbnail for websites" text box
- copy the selected text
- paste the selected text w/in the post you are trying to make

PS. Pete's original post was deleted in an effort to short things out. My bad !!!!

Bill

When you say you don't see the photos, you mean you can't see them in imageshack? Or that you can't see the photos posted on this forum?

imageshack isn't the only way to do it. I beleive you can do it from flikr.com too if you wish.

But I digress, please let me know what you don't "see" on imageshack. -- Send email to (ptruog at yahoo dot com) and i'll see if i can't help you out.

There is nothing there on the posts that are supposed to have photos. The text is there but no photos.

[> [> I want more info on the Autohelm -- Buzz Hall, - Wednesday - 11/15/06 - 12:06am

Hi,
I really like your autohelm setup. I want to do the same with my M31 that is also black hulled!
Your boat looks fantastic. I have the "Pelican" out of Chanell Islands, CA. Your Autohelm installation looks very good. Did you install? Could you email me some pictures of the mechanics?
Hope all is well.

Thanks for the compliments, Carrie and I have pu a lot of elbow grease on Hibou. Actually, the hull color is dark green.
No, I didn't install the autohelm myself. Unless a Raymarine certified mech. does the job the warranty is voided. I can add more photos, what are you wanting to see?
If you're going to intall an autohelm I would suggest paying the bucks for one with a gyro that "learns" how your boat handles. I'm having a devil of a time getting this model adjusted. At first it tracked well but wouldn't auto-tack. Now it tacks just fine but the wake, when on a set heading, looks like a snake's trail. I'm not talking little garter snake S's. No, these are anaconda size sweeps.
Feel free to email me, off list. It might make exchanging photos a little easier.

Craig
