Peter,

I hope all is well with you and Snowgoose. With my fingers crossed I hope to drop a new Westerbeke 64A into Tivoli next week. I looked at a Yanmar but decided to go with the Westerbeke. It will give me 64 horses at a continuous RPM of 2600. I also purchased a new 18"x16" 3 bladed prop with a new 1.125" SS shaft. I realize I will sacrifice some speed with the 3 bladed prop but for the cruising that we plan to do I feel it is the correct prop. By the way Michigan Prop said the optimum prop for this engine and boat is a 20"x14" prop, however, I am turning a 1.125" shaft and would need a 1.25" shaft to turn that size prop.

We are hoping to launch and take around to CT 1st or 2nd week of September. Still a lot of work to do, but it will be much closer to home.

Mike & Paula

Hey Guys,
Good to hear from you. I'm glad you're finally looking at an end of your project. Let us know when you're in and we should definitely hook up. We may be in your neck of the woods (Stonington) some time in September.
Best regards,
Peter

We have secured a mooring in Deep River, it is about 5 miles up the CT River. I will pull the boat our there for the Winter and keep it at a slip there next summer. I would love to hook up with you once I am in the water, I will stay in touch.

Talk to you soon

Mike
