Subject: ProFurl still has headstay

Mike,
My ProFurl still has a wire headstay inside of the aluminum extrusions. Look at your owners manual or download one at www.harken.com. I'll bet it inside of all that stuff!

Captn,

I was hoping you would see this, yes there is a heavy cable inside the outercasing. So can I assume this is adaquate? I will go to the website as well.

Thanks again for all of your help

[> [> Headstay Roller Furling -- Capt'n Mike, - Tuesday - 09/26/06 - 1:36pm

Mike,
It should be sufficient. It is probably the same wire headstay that was on the boat before the Harken roller furling was installed over it. It is probably the same diameter as the backstay(s).
