although Rachel is a very cute girl but Meg does turn heads when she walks in the room I was there at the interviews in Anderson. She really stood out!She is striking up close in person. As in interview close. I think she will do well.

Meg is also very smart

The shot of Meg reminds me of Strom -God Rest His Soul, with a Hawaiian Shirt and Plaid pants. Later we said...what was he thinking..my husband said.."Well you are still talking about him." would not rule her out because of the photo. Would you rather start an interview on the positive note of ," Wow she is so much prettier than this picture..we have a winner here." or on a negative note of " This girl does not look anything like this photo..who is she fooling." If Meg made a calculated decision to "use a less than attractive photo", then she is NOT as smart as everyone says. Over-thinking pageantry is foolish as each judges panel is different. The contestant photo is the FIRST time a judge sees the girl. You are correct in the idea of "pleasant surprise" rather than "disappointment", but that photo stays with the judges all weekend and I would certainly want them to feel as if I was somewhat photogenic.
