 I trust Mr. Beecher's journalistic chops, so I assume there is a written log entry for that version at the very least.

However, unless he also heard it with his own ears, it seems likely it was erased and recorded over, possibly to save funds,and possibly because the cut was never fully realized
before the decision was made to proceed sans organ.
