 I watched and recorded said documentary to my DVR (which I later recorded to a spare hard drive on my computer for safe keeping). I thought Ken Burns did a very good job with the subject matter. Since there was only 16 hours (8 episodes, 2 hours apiece)to work with, a lot of great artists were probably left on the cutting room floor. In order to tell a 90 year history of anything within a 16 hour time frame, a lot of things and people were to left out. In order to have gotten a more complete history of the subject matter, the documentary's length would have been closer to 50, possibly even 60 hours, making it more of a series than a documentary. Overall, I thought it was a great effort, but that is my opinion.
