Hi

I fully support Jape being in the broadcasters hall of fame, and maybe even in the "builders" section of the r'n'r hall,
but not as a performer. A songwriting nod might also be deemed appropriate.

Not only did he not fit the usual requirements of number of personal hits and large sales volumes, you also can't really say he was a huge influence on the next generation of performers.

He was however, a true original an his place in history
is secure.

Hawkshaw Hawkins, a very talented performer in his own right, was sadly also taken from us long before his time, and may have been a huge star. The country music hall has not seen fit induct him.

The Bopper, DOES in my opinion, have just as much or more
qualification than several who are already in the rock hall,
mainly because they are not rock and roll performers, or close to it.

Unfortunately, that is often due to industry influence, not the merit of the performer. It's not enough of a reason for me to say he belongs in the hall, other than in the way I mentioned above.
