I can not say that the pilot was shot or not. My dad and I went hunting with shotguns. When he put the shotgun in the back seat area, a bullet was in barrel and gun on safety. The trigger guard got caught on the seat, so he jammed the shotgun down until it hit the floor board. The floating firing pen hit the bullet in the barrel and shot a hole in the floor board. When the plane crashed, the jar could have caused the floating pen to hit the bullet and fire maybe hitting the pilot, if he was hit.
