 This is a really good CD of the first album of the greatest rock and roll group of all time: The Crickets (1957-1958). They were the greatest because they included Buddy Holly, the greatest rock and roller ever.

It is marvelous what modern technology can do!. I really enjoyed the part where the backing vocals had been removed. I could hear Buddy’s guitar work; he was excellent on guitar. And to hear his incredible, unique voice without other vocals was great.

Sometime during the summer of 1957, I first heard Buddy Holly’s voice; I have never tired of hearing it. In 1960, I realized how I felt about him, and became an intensely devoted fan. I never tire of looking at pictures of Buddy Holly, and I own quite a few.

Many great thanks to John Beecher and the other people who made this CD possible. I started corresponding with John in 1973 (50 years!).
