I received my copy of "The 'Chirping' Crickets" remixed CD a couple days ago: Mine wasn't sealed, but enclosed in (a clear plastic) resealable CD sleeve with a hype sticker that says "That Makes It Sound So Much Better Remixed! Mono & Stereo", so I didn't have to worry about opening it or not: I can just take it out of the resealable sleeve.

To answer your question, though I know I'm not the one you asked, I would go ahead and open it and enjoy it.
