 Hey Mulligan, many thanks for the reply.

I found that reference in the Goldrosen book.

I've got two thoughts about Jerry's view as reported there.
He may have had an overarching opinion that nothing should be done to dub the apartment tapes. However, it may be that while expressing that view to people, he also said something like - 'however, if you're absolutely determined to dub them there's only one person who should play the drums and that's me.'
