 I was an American teenager in the late 50's and early 60's who got the fever to play guitar when Buddy and the Crickets came on the scene. But I was really inspired by all the great instrumental recordings released by Duane Eddy, Link Wray, the Fireballs, and the Ventures during those years. Their recordings provided an endless supply of new songs to learn to play. My family moved several times during those years and in each new city I found many other guitar players trying to play those same recordings. And in particular, Duane, Link, and the Ventures released hundreds of albums over their careers and to me that is testimony to their significant influence on aspiring guitar players.
