 I sometimes wondered why the song "Rock & Roll Heaven" by the Righteous Brothers didn't mention Buddy Holly. Turns out, the original version by the band Climax mentioned both Buddy & Ritchie Valens. When the Righteous Brothers recorded it, they left out Buddy & Ritchie & added Jim Croce & Bobby Darin, who had died more recently.
